Description

  • Build and maintain data pipelines and analytical systems that ingest, transform, and model data from diverse operational and business sources.
  • Develop dashboards, trackers, and ad hoc analyses that support deployment tracking, inventory status, component lifecycle, fleet performance, and reliability monitoring.
  • Own the full lifecycle of analytics products, from defining requirements and designing user experiences to building and deploying solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate data challenges into effective solutions across ERP, MRP, and other operational systems.
  • Perform quantitative analyses such as deployment validation, inventory reconciliation, trend analysis, variance investigation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Use data to improve fleet management, deployment strategies, and sustainment operations for the growing Sentry fleet.
  • Iterate on data products based on stakeholder feedback and changing operational needs as the business scales.
  • Document data definitions, business logic, and methodologies to improve data quality, literacy, and self-service across teams.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in an analytics-focused role such as Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar.
  • Degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Operations Research, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to write SQL and Python, or similar analytical languages, to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Experience taking ownership end-to-end, from problem definition through solution design, build, and deployment.
  • Strong communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts, with the ability to translate business problems into data solutions.
  • Strong bias for action and a preference for designing better solutions rather than patching existing problems.
  • Ability to work through complex, messy, and ambiguous problems in a rapidly evolving operational environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, supply chain, and operations teams.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience building business-facing dashboards and visualizations with tools such as Palantir Foundry, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Streamlit, or similar, preferred.
  • Ability to build full-stack solutions, including frontend development with React or similar frameworks when needed, preferred.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline concepts, ETL processes, or data engineering principles, preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, MES, inventory management platforms, or supply chain analytics, preferred.
  • Background in hardware product lifecycle operations, manufacturing environments, or complex hardware/software systems, preferred.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as DataDog or Grafana, preferred.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering metrics such as MTBF, failure analysis, or deployment tracking, preferred.
  • Experience in fast-paced hyper-growth or startup environments without a playbook, preferred.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, robotics, autonomy, or mission-critical technology environments, preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $146,000 to $194,000 USD.
  • Highly competitive equity grants included in the majority of full-time offers.
  • Top-tier benefits package for full-time employees.
  • Benefits available at little to no cost to employees.
  • Comprehensive support for health, recovery, and what comes next.
