Description

  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of compliance programs across Anchorage Digital legal entities.
  • Partner closely with Financial Crimes Compliance to improve efficiency and effectiveness across compliance workflows.
  • Analyze compliance-related data and turn raw data into actionable insights for process improvement.
  • Automate key compliance processes and workflows, including KYC, sanctions screening, suspicious activity identification, and reporting.
  • Develop and enhance BSA/AML models, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, customer risk rating, and blockchain analytics tools.
  • Contribute to best practices for the FCC Analytics team, including code review, testing frameworks, project management, and documentation.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and respond quickly to time-sensitive data requests from auditors, regulators, and other Compliance teams.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Product and Engineering to implement and improve tools and processes.
  • Present findings and data insights with clear context, visual aids, and audience-appropriate communication.
  • Manage competing priorities, clarify ambiguous requests, and propose alternative approaches when needed.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in a data analytics or data science role.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and the financial services industry.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, complex joins, and query optimization.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Looker, and advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to operate autonomously while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience with or strong interest in automation principles and leveraging AI tools, including AI agents.
  • Strong understanding of how systems, data flows, and technologies interact.
  • Experience with compliance-related data tables and models, including an understanding of data nuances, underlying codes, and model limitations.
  • Preferred: experience in the financial services, crypto, startup, or other fast-paced evolving environments.
  • Preferred: general understanding of regulatory compliance, financial crimes, and risk management.
  • Preferred: experience with data transformation tools like dbt, version control like Git, and software engineering best practices for analytics.
  • Preferred: Python or other scripting language experience for data analysis, automation, or data pipeline work.
  • Preferred: excellent communication skills with experience presenting technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred: proven ability to deliver accurate results under tight deadlines, especially for compliance or audit-related requests.
  • Preferred: detail-oriented, quality-focused, and committed to data accuracy, testing, and documentation.
