Description

  • Develop end-to-end solution designs aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership across the development lifecycle to ensure solutions are designed, developed, and deployed appropriately.
  • Collaborate with business, product management, IT, and engineering stakeholders to gather and analyze functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Create high-level and detailed architecture models and documentation, including UML and context diagrams.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, platforms, and design patterns for scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
  • Design solution integrations with existing systems, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party services.
  • Present architectural designs and solutions to executives, project managers, and technical teams.
  • Review designs and implementations to ensure quality, performance, security, and compliance standards are met.
  • Identify risks in solution designs and implement mitigations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of solution architectures, configurations, and decisions.
  • Support governance processes in the product development lifecycle and assist with technical scoping and estimation.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to improve architecture processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the healthcare domain.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience as an architect in complex business and technical environments, including leading cross-functional teams and large-scale enterprise initiatives.
  • 5+ years of experience architecting Java and NodeJS solutions, including REST/SOAP API design and cloud architecture on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • 4+ years of experience working with FHIR 4.x standards.
  • 3+ years of experience working with HL7 2.x and 3.x (CCDA) standards.
  • 2+ years of experience working with SSO frameworks and implementation patterns.
  • 2+ years of experience working with master data management (MDM) concepts.
  • Experience with API management platforms such as APIGEE, Kong, or AWS API Gateway.
  • Experience with healthcare clinical data repositories such as Google Healthcare API or Aidbox.
  • Experience designing authentication and authorization patterns and platforms.
  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python, plus cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of microservices, SaaS platforms, and containerized infrastructure such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong experience designing Pub/Sub event-driven systems using platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, or AWS SNS/SQS.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST, and PCI.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and cross-functional team environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical, business, and clinical audiences.
  • Ability to align technology solutions with clinical goals and corporate strategy.
  • Industry knowledge of videoconferencing and unified communications products and underlying technologies.
  • Ability to build consensus and operate effectively in a matrixed environment as an individual influencer.
  • Experience managing relationships with external vendors and partners.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle management concepts.
  • Familiarity with payor quality metric management, risk adjustment, and care gap closure concepts.
  • Current or previous US Public Trust clearance, or the ability to pass a Public Trust background check.
