Description

  • Grow the assigned territory by selling Amira’s products into new districts with more than 5,000 students.
  • Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
  • Communicate with prospective customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Demonstrate product functions and utility based on customer needs.
  • Use a challenger sales mindset in customer-facing discussions.
  • Maintain detailed sales activity and pipeline records in Salesforce, including calls, meetings, and won/lost business.
  • Provide periodic territory pipeline updates and revenue estimates.
  • Travel up to 50% as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must reside in Texas.
  • Experience selling complex solutions to large educational institutions.
  • Experience hunting and a desire to be a pure hunter.
  • Knowledge of educational technology trends and challenges.
  • Experience with consultative selling and solution-based sales approaches.
  • Proven track record of success in a sales role within the education technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of the K-12 market.
  • Experience selling to K-12 school district leadership or having served in a buyer role.
  • Knowledge of literacy beyond ed-tech, including the science of reading.
  • Strong executive presence and gravitas.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales methodologies, including Salesforce.
  • Ability to use multiple software platforms and devices in classroom and school settings.
  • AI-native mindset with early adoption of AI tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of direct experience in K-12 education sales preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of account acquisition preferred.
  • Consistent ability to generate new leads preferred.
  • Experience taking initiative and handling leadership responsibilities preferred.
