Description

  • Lead and continuously improve ALU’s institutional performance framework, including KPIs, targets, scorecards, and performance measures.
  • Monitor performance, identify variances, risks, and underperformance, and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Conduct business, strategic, financial, operational, scenario, forecasting, and root-cause analyses.
  • Develop business cases, investment analyses, benchmarking studies, and decision papers for senior leadership.
  • Produce executive reports, dashboards, management information, forecasts, and analytical products for leadership and governance forums.
  • Partner with data and technology teams to improve data access, integration, quality, consistency, and reporting confidence.
  • Coach team members and improve analytical methodologies, tools, processes, and reporting automation.
  • Build relationships with senior leaders and functional data owners, resolve metric inconsistencies, and facilitate performance discussions.
  • Present complex findings to non-technical audiences and translate insights into practical recommendations and measurable actions.
  • Promote evidence-based decision-making and provide constructive challenge across academic and professional functions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in business performance, institutional research, strategy, business intelligence, analytics, planning, consulting, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience leading and managing organisational or institutional performance frameworks, including KPIs, targets, scorecards, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations for senior decision-makers.
  • Experience with forecasting, scenario modelling, business case development, and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience producing executive-level performance reports, dashboards, and decision-support materials.
  • Demonstrated success delivering analytical or performance improvement initiatives with measurable business, operational, financial, or institutional impact.
  • Experience benchmarking organisational or institutional performance against peers, competitors, or sector standards is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Power BI and digital or AI-enabled analytical tools, with independent validation of outputs.
  • Strong strategic thinking, critical thinking, executive communication, influencing, collaboration, coaching, and delivery skills.
  • Ability to connect performance analysis to institutional priorities and demonstrate ownership, courage, and stewardship aligned with the ALU Archetype.
