Description

  • Manage finance queries through a ticketing system and respond to students, sponsors, and stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Escalate invoicing, credit note, and student refund issues to the relevant team members and follow through to resolution.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with finance customers.
  • Escalate discrepancies related to finance accounts for review and correction.
  • Assist with debt collection to reduce outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Send statements of account to students when required and follow up on payments.
  • Support the Finance Team with ad hoc finance-related duties.
  • Adhere to ALU’s safeguarding policy and help ensure the safety and well-being of young persons and vulnerable adults.

Requirements

  • Accounting-related degree and/or at least Level 1 of ACCA/CPA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Basic understanding of finance processes.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of G-Suite, Excel, and accounting software is a definite advantage.
  • Proactive, self-starting attitude.
  • Ability to work in diverse teams and under tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multitasking, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to apply creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Alignment with ALU’s core values and mission.
  • Experience in a mission-driven or customer-facing finance support role is preferred.
