Description

  • Serve as the finance point of contact for engineering, research and development indirect expense spending across multiple programs.
  • Partner with Engineering, Purchasing, and Product Finance teams to manage and control spending for approved programs.
  • Own development, reporting, and tracking of budgeted, actual, and forecast spend with the Engineering team.
  • Work directly with Engineering Operations as a business partner.
  • Develop forecasts and budgets for assigned programs.
  • Prepare actual and forecast reporting, including variance explanations.
  • Track program and indirect spending, along with key performance indicators.
  • Review and approve spending requisitions.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and perform indirect cost controllership analyses.
  • Complete cost center mapping, reporting, management, ad hoc reporting, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or an MBA if the degree is not in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • 2+ years of experience in business unit budgeting and forecasting.
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Office Suite experience.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams at once.
  • Ability to deliver high-priority requests in a timely manner and provide recommendations or direction.
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP software applications.
  • Experience with reporting databases such as OneStream, HFM, or Essbase.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookups; PowerBI or Qlik knowledge is beneficial.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Automotive industry knowledge is a plus.
