Description

  • Lead training for clinical and non-clinical staff on SSI/SSDI access and behavioral health programs.
  • Develop and adapt curricula, toolkits, guides, and training materials using adult learning principles.
  • Coach agencies and provide technical assistance to improve disability benefits applications and service delivery.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Maintain expertise in SSI/SSDI, disability determination, Work Incentive programs, and recovery-oriented behavioral health practices.
  • Guide agencies in outcome tracking, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Partner with federal and state agencies, providers, community organizations, and people with lived experience.
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource on disability benefits processes and behavioral health best practices.
  • Collaborate with trainers and project teams to standardize and improve statewide training practices.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering training, coaching, or technical assistance using adult learning principles.
  • 3–7 years of experience in behavioral health, recovery supports, or related social services.
  • 10+ years of experience helping adults, children, and military veterans apply for SSI/SSDI and other disability benefits.
  • Experience navigating Social Security Work Incentive programs.
  • Experience leading teams in training, coaching, or technical assistance activities.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate complex processes into clear, practical guidance and accessible training materials.
  • Willingness to travel for in-person training, approximately 10–15% of the time.
  • Experience or residence in Michigan preferred.
  • U.S. work authorization required; sponsorship is unavailable. Work must be performed within the continental U.S. during core Eastern Time hours.
