Description

  • Develop an understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making factors.
  • Manage evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations during the sales cycle.
  • Deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and secure technical wins.
  • Capture requirements and translate business needs into innovative Appian-based solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for interoperability, functional testing, and performance validation.
  • Facilitate mutual roadmap and planning exchanges with customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with product and technical marketing to create supporting materials such as whitepapers and web presentations.
  • Stay current on the competition and ensure materials reflect differentiated solution positioning.
  • Work with tech partners to shape solution architectures, quantify value, and deliver tailored demos across applications, data, and GenAI.
  • Lead technical content for proposals and RFPs, including solution design, estimates, and differentiators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in software development, especially with the Appian platform.
  • At least 2 years of experience in pre-sales or a similar role such as sales engineering.
  • Strong command of Appian architecture and technical depth to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Recent experience with a modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, C++, JavaScript, or SQL.
  • Experience working in an enterprise software sales position.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including customer interaction, requirements analysis, and presentations.
  • Consultative solution-architecture experience in relevant domains with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand client challenges deeply and translate complex business and technical concepts into clear value propositions.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, and CPT.
