Description

  • Serve as the delivery lead for a multi-year Azure modernization program, owning execution across active workstreams and downstream phases.
  • Coordinate the technical delivery team day to day, surface blockers early, and keep deliverables on schedule.
  • Own the program work plan, RAID log, status reporting, scope management, and change control across Azure-native and hybrid Microsoft environments.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client point of contact for delivery, including weekly status updates, scope discussions, and escalations.
  • Translate Azure architecture and engineering progress into business language for director- and VP-level stakeholders.
  • Run delivery aligned to the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework, including landing zone, identity, networking, and security workstreams.
  • Contribute to scoping and estimating new workstreams as the roadmap expands.
  • Stay current on Azure platform roadmaps, Microsoft licensing and partner program changes, regulatory frameworks, and emerging delivery patterns.
  • Support Alpha's Microsoft partnership posture through CPOR claims, Solutions Partner skilling, and CSP-aligned engagements where relevant.
  • Participate in discovery conversations when Microsoft delivery experience is needed to move work forward.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Project management and Scrum experience, including comfort running ceremonies, managing a backlog, and working across agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery methods.
  • At least 4 years of experience in technical delivery, technical program management, or consulting on Azure projects.
  • Meaningful experience in consulting, systems integration, or Microsoft professional services.
  • Track record of running Azure modernization or migration programs end to end, including challenging programs.
  • Working fluency in core Azure services, including App Service, AKS, Functions, Virtual Machines, VNet, Front Door, Application Gateway, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Azure SQL, Synapse, Fabric, Cosmos DB, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Key Vault.
  • Experience delivering engagements aligned to the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, Azure Well-Architected Framework, and Azure landing zone patterns.
  • Credibility in client-facing conversations at director and VP level, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk discussions.
  • Strong written communication skills, including producing status decks, concise emails, and executive summaries.
  • Microsoft certifications, current or recently held, are a plus.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm EST.
  • Ability to accommodate infrequent travel to client sites.
