Description

  • Own the architecture and technical roadmap for identity, authentication, authorization, account models, partner OAuth, and customer-facing trading applications.
  • Design secure, auditable access models for multi-user accounts, sub-accounts, delegated access, and AI agents.
  • Lead delivery of trading applications with real-time market data, order entry, and positions and order views.
  • Drive migration from legacy monolith endpoints to a dedicated application backend with clear service contracts.
  • Set security and delivery standards covering MFA, passkeys, OAuth, rate limiting, testing, feature flags, staged rollouts, and observability.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Compliance, Security, Brokerage Operations, and engineering teams on requirements and integrations.
  • Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and raise technical standards across the team.
  • Own production escalations and drive durable prevention following incidents.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience across backend services and customer-facing applications.
  • Experience owning production systems where defects could expose data, grant incorrect access, or cause financial loss.
  • Deep expertise in OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, session and token management, MFA, and role- or attribute-based authorization.
  • Strong Go experience, or expertise in Java, Kotlin, C#, or Rust with willingness to work primarily in Go.
  • Strong TypeScript and React experience building complex, state-heavy applications.
  • Experience with real-time data using WebSockets or other streaming protocols (preferred).
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL or relational databases, REST and gRPC API design, and Kubernetes-based service-oriented systems.
  • Experience with threat modeling, testing strategy, edge-case analysis, and safe production rollouts.
  • Technical leadership, mentorship, cross-functional communication, and a product-minded approach.
  • Financial applications, identity platforms, passkeys/WebAuthn, API products, AI-agent integrations, FIX workflows, or legacy-monolith migrations (preferred).
