Description

  • Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL.
  • Design and maintain pipelines from source systems through integration to consumption, including bronze, silver, and gold data lake layers.
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models and optimize Spark and SQL workloads for performance, scalability, and cost.
  • Automate data integration, ingestion, preparation, testing, and deployment through reusable templates, Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD practices.
  • Build REST/JSON API integrations and real-time ingestion frameworks.
  • Prepare curated datasets, semantic models, KPIs, and optimized data models for BI, reporting, and self-service analytics.
  • Lead technical design reviews, contribute to architecture roadmaps, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Partner with business, IT, analytics, and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and align data solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure data governance, metadata management, and regulatory compliance, including GxP and HIPAA/GDPR requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience designing and developing enterprise-scale data solutions across data warehouses, data lakes, and operational databases.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Databricks, Azure Fabric, PySpark, SQL, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure data management architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouses, data lakes, data catalogues, data integration, governance, and metadata management.
  • Experience with Power BI; Tableau or Looker experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD automation, Git version control, and infrastructure as code using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Understanding of GxP, GDPR/HIPAA, and applicable CFR/CTR/CTD regulations.
  • Experience in life sciences or healthcare is preferred.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder collaboration, independent working, teamwork, deadline management, and statistical analysis skills.
