Description

  • Achieve annual sales targets for a defined regional territory and build the client base in new markets.
  • Develop and lead client presentations and regular sponsor meetings to support relationship growth and client understanding.
  • Manage the internal proposal development process, including timelines, draft proposals, cost estimates, and quality control.
  • Support contract negotiations with sponsors, clients, and vendors, and may lead negotiations for some accounts.
  • Lead business development marketing activities, including trade/scientific shows and creation of brochures, web content, and presentations.
  • Assist with strategic sales planning, implementation, and geographic expansion planning with leadership and corporate operations.
  • Provide regular updates to clients throughout the project lifecycle and help manage expectations and issue resolution.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to inform sales strategy and new market growth opportunities.
  • Support clinical operations in identifying, sourcing, and qualifying vendors for projects.
  • Lead or support vendor meetings, RFP review/selection, budget monitoring, and contract finalization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Honours Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of related business development, sales, or similar experience, plus ongoing education/training, or a college diploma with a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Clinical research industry experience is required.
  • Preferred educational background in Health Sciences or Business.
  • Significant account management experience, including building and expanding geographic territories.
  • Extensive experience in financial resource management, including budgeting, expenditure, and revenue activities.
  • Technical expertise in contract negotiation and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to regional territory prospects as needed.
  • Experience supporting vendor qualification requirements and RFP processes is preferred.
