Description

  • Lead the strategy, negotiation, and execution of Commercial value-based care contracts with national and regional health plans and other purchasers.
  • Oversee the Commercial segment within the Strategic Payer Partnerships team and ensure performance goals and objectives are met.
  • Evaluate prospective health plan partnerships by negotiating terms and reviewing, editing, and recommending approval of contracts for Commercial members and patients.
  • Source and qualify market growth and expansion opportunities for multi-year risk arrangements.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape Aledade’s value-based contracting strategy on behalf of independent primary care practices.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Lead, direct, coach, and evaluate a team of managers and senior directors.
  • Foster a productive team environment and culture aligned with Aledade’s core values.
  • Evaluate prospective health plan network participation agreements, including negotiating terms and recommending approval across lines of business.
  • Collaborate internally to identify and prioritize market growth opportunities and develop external-facing materials to support network participation agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience with health plans or payer contracting within value-based care.
  • 7+ years of experience managing and leading teams.
  • Deep knowledge of commercially insured populations.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to influence others to achieve goals.
  • Proven ability to create, maintain, and enhance relationships with senior management and communicate effectively.
  • Expertise in business development at both local and national levels.
  • Passion for driving the shift from fee-for-service to value-based care.
  • Master’s degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Ability to work remotely within the United States or from the Bethesda, MD office (preferred work arrangement).
