Description

  • Negotiate and renegotiate Medicare Advantage and Medicaid value-based care contracts with prospective payer partners.
  • Proactively engage payer partners to improve contract terms and support contract strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify market growth and expansion opportunities for multi-year risk arrangements.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of negotiated terms.
  • Read, draft, and track contract language and deliverables to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Compile data and provide reporting updates on contract activity and performance.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of existing MA and Medicaid contract terms and serve as the internal expert for contract questions.
  • Build and manage relationships with payers and other key stakeholders to resolve issues and identify new collaboration opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 12+ years of healthcare experience with health plans or provider groups working on contract negotiations within value-based care.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others to achieve goals without relying on direct control.
  • Proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with senior management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in contractual language and processes.
  • Experience as an expert sales, business development, or growth professional at the local and national level.
  • Passion for driving the shift from fee-for-service to value-based care.
  • Master’s degree or other advanced degree in management, health services research, health/public policy, or a related field (preferred).
