Description

  • Oversee the daily operations of the organization’s security operations center (SOC).
  • Manage and develop a team of security professionals.
  • Develop and implement security policies, incident response protocols, and security monitoring strategies.
  • Lead incident response, threat management, vulnerability management, and security monitoring efforts.
  • Balance short- and long-term risk management priorities across security operations.
  • Optimize automation, log ingestion, and threat response while maintaining security quality.
  • Set clear goals, remove roadblocks, and drive team execution.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to increase the impact of the security team.
  • Work with company leaders to improve processes and systems that protect patients, employees, and the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in security operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience managing a SOC and leading incident response efforts.
  • Strong understanding of SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, forward-thinking approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
