Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain the integration layer between Shopify Plus and backend enterprise systems.
  • Ensure smooth and reliable data synchronization across multiple business systems.
  • Extract, transform, and load complex datasets exchanged between Shopify and internal platforms.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and properly structured data across ERP, CRM, WMS, POS, and related systems.
  • Build and support custom middleware, iPaaS integrations, or integration microservices.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver efficient solutions aligned with client operational needs.
  • Work with enterprise data exchange protocols and integration endpoints to support system connectivity.
  • Use version control and CI/CD workflows to support integration development and deployment.
  • Implement integrations with payment, tax, loyalty, fraud, ERP, inventory, and OMS platforms.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of backend development experience focused on middleware, iPaaS, or custom integration microservices.
  • Celigo experience is required.
  • Deep understanding of the Shopify API ecosystem, including rate limiting, bulk operations, webhooks, and REST to GraphQL migration nuances.
  • Strong ability to read, parse, and transform data structures.
  • Mastery of JSON, XML, CSV, and SQL.
  • Strong proficiency in a server-side language such as Node.js or Laravel/PHP.
  • Experience with enterprise data exchange protocols such as REST, SOAP, FTP/SFTP, and EDI.
  • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Degree or certification in software development.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with cloud functions such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions is preferred.
  • Knowledge of queueing systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS is preferred.
  • Experience integrating with ERP, PIM, CDP, OMS, or other retail systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the latest Shopify Admin API endpoints is preferred.
  • Experience with iPaaS and event-driven architectures is preferred.
  • Experience with observability tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or Sentry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of security best practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, loyalty programs, or other retail technologies is a plus.
