Description

  • Own the full outbound sales cycle for U.S. DMOs across all tiers, from first touch through signed contract.
  • Build and manage a self-sourced pipeline through existing relationships, conferences, speaking engagements, and strategic outreach.
  • Represent AirDNA at major DMO conferences and industry events, including speaking on panels and delivering presentations.
  • Develop and maintain a strong personal brand on LinkedIn and other industry channels through regular content.
  • Research each prospect’s market, competitive landscape, and political dynamics to tailor pitches and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the DMO content marketer on materials for conferences, webinars, and client communications.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records in HubSpot, including pipeline data, deal notes, and forecasts.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to product and strategy teams to inform the DMO offering.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of selling to DMOs, CVBs, or state/regional tourism organizations.
  • Existing relationships with DMO decision makers such as Research Directors, CEOs/Executive Directors, and VP Marketing.
  • Experience speaking at industry conferences or events and comfort presenting to senior audiences.
  • Deep understanding of the DMO landscape, including funding models, board dynamics, budget cycles, COOP programs, and political pressures.
  • Full-cycle sales experience with a history of consistently meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Ability to work as a self-starter without BDR support or inbound pipeline.
  • Strong personal brand presence, or willingness to actively build one on LinkedIn and industry channels.
  • Previous experience at a data or SaaS company selling to government or quasi-government organizations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with short-term rental data, tourism economics, or destination marketing analytics is a plus.
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM is a plus.
  • Existing relationships with industry partners like Tourism Economics (Symphony) or similar aggregators is a plus.
  • Experience using AI tools in day-to-day work is a plus.
