Description

Partner with engineering, product, ML, and infrastructure teams to develop holistic solutions for platform reliability and observability.
Lead Reliability and Observability initiatives across Airbnb’s critical systems.
Create and maintain frameworks and platforms for monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing, and incident management.
Drive requirements, define project direction, and shape technical execution from ambiguity to clear solutions.
Build data-driven decision-making processes across multiple areas of Airbnb.
Rapidly prototype and validate project ideas through iterative development cycles.
Define measurable success criteria and align stakeholders around goals and delivery plans.
Assess risks and opportunities proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
Communicate progress, risks, trade-offs, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Collaborate with senior ICs and engineering directors on processes, strategy, and execution.

Requirements

10+ years of work experience, including at least 8 years as a TPM or in a relevant role.
Experience working through ambiguity to deliver detailed, executable solutions.
Strong ability to influence stakeholders and work across teams with different operating cadences.
Proven ownership, analytical skills, and data-driven decision-making experience.
Experience with ML models, LLMs, LRMs, feature development, model testing, and resource management for AI-powered product experiences.
Familiarity with A/B testing, incremental delivery, and deployment.
Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time.
Excellent written and oral business communication and people skills.
Strong business judgment and the ability to lead initiatives to completion.
US remote eligibility with residence in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

Benefits

Base pay range of $194,000 to $242,000 USD.
Eligibility for bonus.
Eligibility for equity.

Remote-eligible role with occasional office or offsite attendance as needed.
