Description

  • Drive multiple high-value commercial deals simultaneously, from term sheet through close.
  • Negotiate and draft sophisticated commercial agreements and strategic partnerships.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve legal, regulatory, and strategic risks with practical business-oriented advice.
  • Advise on commercial deals and product development in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business development, finance, product, and other cross-functional teams to advance deal objectives.
  • Develop processes and procedures to support a rapidly growing global business.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with business partners and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Licensed attorney in good standing in at least one U.S. state or territory.
  • 10-15+ years of significant commercial legal experience.
  • At least 5+ years leading and closing high-value strategic partnerships.
  • Experience negotiating and drafting commercial partnerships from term sheet to execution across diverse industries and deal structures.
  • Transactional training at a top-tier law firm.
  • Experience advising on complex, high-value commercial matters.
  • Experience at or representing technology companies strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of data privacy and security frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA as they apply to commercial agreements.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex, high-stakes projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Warm, collaborative approach with the ability to build trust quickly with business clients.
  • Interest in expanding the scope of practice, attention to detail, and comfort navigating ambiguity and novel deal structures.
  • Passion for travel and home sharing and appreciation for the Airbnb community.

Benefits

  • US-remote eligible, with occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites as needed.
  • Base pay range of $210,000 to $258,000 USD.
  • Eligible for bonus compensation.
  • Eligible for equity.
