Description

  • Design and own the account management operating model for onboarding, retention, expansion, and escalation at scale.
  • Build the playbooks, metrics, and systems that allow the function to run independently.
  • Define, track, and improve retention and expansion metrics on a weekly basis.
  • Hire, develop, and lead the account management team as the function grows.
  • Bridge the gap between sales, delivery, and clients through a structured process.
  • Carry a direct client load in the early phase while diagnosing what needs to be fixed or built.
  • Retain and grow $100K+ accounts through strong communication and commercial judgment.
  • Identify and close expansion opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback to delivery to improve the product and service.
  • Report into senior leadership and own the outcomes of the function.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, client success, or CS leadership.
  • Experience building or rebuilding an account management or customer success function, not just running one.
  • Background in management consulting, B2B agency, high-growth info or coaching business, or SaaS.
  • Experience serving sophisticated buyers with $50K–$200K+ contract values.
  • Experience building or redesigning playbooks, escalation frameworks, and retention metrics.
  • Experience leading or growing a team, not just managing a book of accounts.
  • Proven ability to retain a high-value client through a difficult period.
  • Comfort making decisions quickly in ambiguity.
  • AI-native mindset with daily use of AI tools to improve workflows end to end.
  • Native or near-native written and spoken English.
