Description

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services in Python, including REST and GraphQL APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Implement and integrate AI/LLM-powered workflows such as RAG, agentic workflows, orchestration, and prompt or guardrail patterns.
  • Connect services, tools, and data sources into reliable and observable workflows across the agentic platform stack.
  • Translate UX designs and design systems into clean, maintainable React frontend code and wire up APIs, state, and components.
  • Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering partners to break down requirements, estimate work, and deliver in iterative increments.
  • Write readable, testable code and contribute unit and integration tests as well as code reviews.
  • Help ensure engineering standards, tooling, and CI/CD practices for secure, scalable AI workloads.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across backend services, integrations, and frontend behavior.
  • Own full end-to-end features from API design and AI integration through to a functional user interface.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in Python building production services.
  • Hands-on experience integrating with LLMs or AI services such as AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, AgentCore, or similar.
  • Strong experience with API design and implementation, including REST/JSON; GraphQL experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, persistence, and integration, including SQL/NoSQL, queues, and event-driven patterns.
  • Working proficiency with modern frontend frameworks, with React preferred and Vue or Angular acceptable with willingness to work in React.
  • Ability to implement responsive, accessible UI from Figma, wireframes, or design specs using a component library or design system.
  • Experience with cloud-native development on at least one major cloud platform, with AWS preferred, plus containerization and orchestration concepts.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth/OIDC and RBAC, and observability tools like logging, metrics, and tracing.
  • Comfort working in an agile environment with iterative delivery, backlog tracking such as Jira, and collaboration tools.
  • Nice to have: experience building or integrating with agentic AI workflows, including multi-agent graphs, tools, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop flows.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of event-driven architectures, message buses, and workflow engines.
  • Nice to have: experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD in cloud environments.
  • Nice to have: background working on platform or shared services used by multiple product teams.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with design systems and reusable UI component libraries such as shadcn or Material.
