Description

  • Own and deliver quarterly team goals while guiding engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Identify project, process, technology, and business issues and lead efforts to resolve them.
  • Support the operations and availability of team systems through metrics, escalation, and on-call work.
  • Set and improve code review and design standards, and advocate for them through writing and tech talks.
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and leadership to help develop talent on the team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
  • Experience building highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience owning and operating cloud-native distributed infrastructure in networking or compute.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes resource management, Helm charts, and operator patterns for networking workloads.
  • Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with simple, extensible designs.
  • Ability to make significant changes in a large codebase while using tools and practices that support safe development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
  • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience taking ownership of personal growth and proactively seeking feedback from team members, managers, and stakeholders.
