Description

  • Develop models using proprietary and third-party data to predict default likelihood and inform approval or decline decisions.
  • Partner with platform and product engineering teams to build model training, decisioning, and monitoring systems.
  • Research solutions and build prototypes for future credit decisioning capabilities.
  • Implement and scale data pipelines, features, and algorithms for production models.
  • Collaborate with engineering, credit, and product teams to define requirements for new products.
  • Develop machine learning models from inception through measurable business impact.
  • Present technical concepts and results to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer or a PhD in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in machine learning, including Generalized Linear Models, Gradient Boosting, Deep Learning, and Probabilistic Calibration.
  • Credit risk domain knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong Python engineering and SQL data manipulation skills.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems such as Spark or Ray.
  • Experience with scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, XGBoost, and Kubeflow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to drive cross-functional requirements.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and results appropriately for different audiences.
  • Persistence, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility.
