Description

  • Translate and post-edit UI and UX content from English into Simplified Chinese.
  • Adapt button labels, error messages, dashboards, and other interface content for clarity and usability.
  • Maintain consistency in terminology and style using client glossaries, style guides, and translation memory assets.
  • Collaborate with remote Project Managers and QA Reviewers to deliver high-quality localized assets.
  • Work within agile release schedules and tight deadlines.
  • Ensure translations are grammatically accurate, functionally correct, and culturally appropriate for the target audience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Native-level fluency in Simplified Chinese with near-native, professional command of English.
  • 3+ years of proven freelance experience in UI/UX localization, software translation, or technical IT content.
  • Must be currently residing and operating outside mainland China.
  • Experience translating for major global tech enterprises, such as Adobe, Microsoft, IBM, or Oracle, is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and localization practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Familiarity with modern CAT tools, such as SDL Trados Studio, is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Good communication skills for collaboration with remote teams.
