Description

  • Promote Acadia products to healthcare professionals in person and virtually with compliant clinical, disease state, and reimbursement education.
  • Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve or exceed sales objectives using market data, customer insights, and quarterly action plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with HCPs, key opinion leaders, advocacy organizations, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Respond to customer questions, concerns, and objections using advanced dialogue and selling skills.
  • Customize approved sales aids, clinical reprints, and brand resources to address specific customer needs.
  • Partner with internal teams such as managed markets, operations, sales training, and marketing to coordinate customer solutions.
  • Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution, and serve as a liaison on access-related issues.
  • Track and report sales activities, expenses, and customer interactions accurately and on time.
  • Represent the company at conferences, exhibits, trainings, and regional or national meetings.
  • Mentor new sales specialists and contribute to cross-functional projects and field insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience for Sales Specialist roles, with neuroscience preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of healthcare sales experience, including 2+ years in complex or account-based selling, for Senior Specialist roles.
  • Minimum 12 years of healthcare sales experience, including 3+ years in complex or account-based selling, for Executive Sales Specialist roles.
  • Demonstrated advanced selling skills, leadership ability, and business acumen.
  • Proven success influencing diverse HCP audiences across multiple care settings.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual engagement tools such as Zoom and WebEx.
  • Strong understanding of neuroscience disease states, local/regional market dynamics, payer dynamics, Part D, and specialty pharmacy or hub distribution.
  • Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border, and be eligible to drive a company vehicle with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel significantly, including up to 80% travel, overnight stays, air travel, and occasional after-hours work.
  • Must comply with vaccination requirements for access to HCP offices, long-term care facilities, and medical conferences.
