Description

  • Anticipate the Senior Wealth Advisor’s needs and manage pre- and post-meeting deliverables.
  • Prepare for, participate in, and follow up on client meetings to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Support the development of financial solutions by gathering client information and sharing results as needed.
  • Use Mercer’s tax, estate planning, insurance, and other in-house solutions to provide comprehensive advice.
  • Build technical, relational, and advisor capabilities to increase client ownership and responsibility over time.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory policies as well as company standards of client care.
  • Act as a fiduciary and place client interests and outcomes first.
  • Help deepen relationships with an established client base and support organic growth through referrals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance; master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of job-related experience in roles such as Independent Advisor, Registered Representative, Securities Portfolio Manager, Financial Planner, or Certified Public Accountant.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required, or an acceptable alternative such as ChFC, PFS, CFA, or CIC.
  • Series 65 required unless an eligible designation provides an exemption in the applicable state(s).
  • Advanced knowledge of the financial services industry, financial products, and financial planning concepts.
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to present investment, finance, and tax planning solutions to clients.
  • Experience using financial planning software.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and fiduciary standards.
  • Sales aptitude and experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for client meetings, training, and related needs.

  • Base salary range of $97,750 to $130,000 USD.
  • Eligible for incentive compensation through Mercer Advisors’ incentive compensation programs.
