Description

  • Design, build, and operate agentic AI systems that automate workflows across the platform using AWS Bedrock and MCP servers.
  • Own the full AI agent lifecycle, including prompt design, tool-use patterns, guardrails, evaluation, cost optimization, and production observability.
  • Write agent code, define tool interfaces, and ship production AI workflows that interact with real production APIs and dealer data.
  • Lead system design and technical decision-making for migration waves across identity, tenant services, core domains, and frontend decomposition.
  • Implement reversible migration patterns such as dual-write frameworks, API Gateway traffic splitting, and per-tenant feature flag rollouts.
  • Establish observability, security, and data architecture patterns across the platform, including instrumentation, dashboards, SLOs, IAM, and tenant data models.
  • Mentor senior engineers, review designs, and raise technical standards across multiple engineering teams.
  • Consolidate and strategize a large set of integrations to make future integrations easier and more scalable.
  • Partner on build-vs-buy decisions and set engineering patterns for how the team develops with AI and across the platform.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a Staff, Principal, or Architect role.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS serverless and service architectures, including Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB, Step Functions, ECS, RDS, and API Gateway.
  • Experience spending roughly 40-50% of time in code and 40-50% in design work.
  • Experience spending 10-20% of time mentoring, aligning across teams, and supporting operating mechanisms.
  • Track record of leading monolith-to-services migrations using strangler fig patterns, dual-write validation, traffic splitting, and canary rollouts.
  • Fluency across multiple languages, including the ability to review PHP, prototype in Python, architect Java services, and reason about TypeScript frontends.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, configuration-driven workflow engines, and DynamoDB single-table design.
  • Strong understanding of observability and the discipline to instrument systems before migration.
  • Ability to write unambiguous design documents that senior engineers can implement and to know when to write code directly.
  • Preferred experience in automotive, fintech, or multi-tenant marketplace platforms.
  • Preferred experience with data pipelines or ETL/data lake tooling such as NiFi, Glue, or Athena.
  • Preferred familiarity with Auth0 Organization model, M2M apps, and Actions for JWT enrichment.
  • Preferred experience with browser automation using Playwright in production integration flows.
