Description

  • Own communication with stakeholders and other teams, including structuring requirements, setting priorities, and ensuring delivery commitments are met.
  • Manage the team by understanding each member’s strengths and weaknesses and assigning tasks according to abilities and development goals.
  • Own team capacity planning by tracking workload, forecasting needs, and preparing hires, processes, and tools before bottlenecks arise.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews to support team development and performance.
  • Implement measures to improve team performance when needed.
  • Support engineers’ growth through code reviews focused on quality and development feedback.
  • Participate in hiring and interviews to help build strong, well-balanced teams.

Requirements

  • Experience facilitating performance reviews, feedback sessions, and professional development planning.
  • Experience conducting code reviews focused on maintaining quality and supporting engineers’ growth.
  • Proven experience participating in hiring and interviews.
  • Understanding of Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Ability to design and oversee software architecture with attention to scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Decent written and spoken English for work in an international environment.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in real-time development with sub-microsecond latency.
  • Experience in HFT, telecommunications, game development, or another resource-constrained, optimization-focused field.
  • Solid understanding of modern C++ development and engineering processes.
  • Knowledge of networks and interaction protocols.
  • Proficiency with version control systems and CI/CD tools.
