Description

  • Lead the design and architecture of robust, scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
  • Translate business requirements and user stories into technical designs, architectural blueprints, and implementation strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and platforms, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform services and cloud-native architectures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, including code reviews and adherence to standards.
  • Design solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
  • Define integration strategies for APIs, microservices, third-party platforms, and legacy applications.
  • Collaborate with clients, product managers, project managers, and engineering teams to align business goals with technical solutions.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps and stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive software development experience, including 3-5 years in an Application Architect or similar senior leadership role.
  • Experience designing and developing frontend applications using React or Angular.
  • Deep hands-on experience designing and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform, with AWS or Azure also considered.
  • Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns, including microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless, and N-tier applications.
  • Expertise in one or more modern programming languages, with Python preferred and Java, Node.js, or C# as additional options.
  • Experience designing data models and selecting relational or NoSQL databases based on application requirements.
  • Extensive experience with RESTful API design, API gateways such as Apigee, and secure API development.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and rotational shifts as required by the business.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with application development teams.
