Description

  • Own high-level architecture decisions, technical standards, coding standards, tools, and platforms for the technology stack.
  • Act as the technical owner from design through resolution of complex solutions on cloud platforms based on client requirements and constraints.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define functional and nonfunctional requirements and align solutions with business goals.
  • Assess opportunities for new technology insertion and plan architecture evolution.
  • Identify architectural risks and lead risk mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor engineers and support technical growth through communities of practice and project teams.
  • Develop and execute the technical vision across business or technical domains with a focus on business value.
  • Design architectures that align with DevOps culture and QA automation practices.
  • Serve as the final architectural authority to review, approve, and guide key design and commercial decisions with the client.
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and architectural artifacts while providing solution-design leadership to the project team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Software Architect and/or Solutions Architect.
  • Deep specialization in telecommunications architecture, cloud-native development, and systems modernization.
  • Strong experience with C++, Java 21, Spring Boot, Redis/Redisson, Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and characterization testing.
  • Proven experience leading re-platforming and low-risk migration of legacy C++ systems to modern Java/cloud-native platforms.
  • Ability to design for high-throughput, low-latency performance targets, including 7,000–8,000 events per second (EPS).
  • Deep knowledge of telecom protocols and libraries, especially TCAP and Diameter, including abstraction-layer design.
  • Familiarity with the SDS platform, FSMApp programming model, and non-blocking I/O patterns.
  • Experience defining CNF architecture and deploying across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong command of Kubernetes, including deployment, service definitions, and horizontal scaling.
  • Deep understanding of load balancing and ingress concepts for IMSI-based affinity and session routing.
  • Expertise in hybrid state models, distributed caching, cache architecture, and the Repository pattern.
  • Understanding of eventual consistency for reference data caching.
  • Experience defining quality gates, characterization testing, and a 7-step porting pattern.
  • Experience designing mandatory CI/CD pipelines with strict quality thresholds, including 100% golden master match and less than 10% performance regression.
  • Experience with metrics export, distributed tracing, structured logging, secrets management, and network policies.
  • Strong governance experience reviewing and approving architecture and client-facing decisions.
