Description

  • Own the GoMining Platform’s technology strategy, architecture, roadmap, and major technical decisions.
  • Build scalable shared infrastructure and determine which capabilities belong at the platform or product level.
  • Own platform reliability, availability, latency, scalability, SLAs, DORA metrics, and incident management.
  • Improve release stability, engineering velocity, resilience, and systemic reliability through post-incident improvements.
  • Lead shared authentication, authorization, registration, 2FA, account controls, integrations, analytics, event infrastructure, and application infrastructure.
  • Prioritize platform initiatives based on technical risk, business impact, revenue, conversion, customer experience, and product velocity.
  • Partner with product leaders, General Managers, C-level stakeholders, Product, Design, Security, and engineering teams.
  • Lead the Platform engineering organization, including team structure, hiring, performance, priorities, execution, and leadership development.
  • Use AI tools and agents to improve engineering, specifications, QA, analytics, operations, automation, velocity, and quality.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Engineering Director, Head of Engineering, Head of Platform, VP Engineering, CTO, or comparable senior engineering leader.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to engage deeply in architecture and engineering decisions.
  • Experience building or operating complex platforms, shared services, or infrastructure supporting multiple products or teams.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, high-load environments, reliability, scalability, incident management, and security.
  • Experience with authentication, authorization, integrations, identity, payments infrastructure, or other shared platform capabilities.
  • Strong product and business mindset with the ability to prioritize based on business impact.
  • Experience working directly with senior product, business, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong data-driven approach to engineering and decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience with modern AI tools and agents.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, crypto, marketplaces, gaming, or another high-scale technology environment is preferred.
