Description

  • Develop and execute independent lead generation strategies to identify high-value prospects.
  • Generate and qualify leads for Chromium, Visium, and Xenium platforms.
  • Engage new and existing potential customers through web inquiries, email campaigns, webinars, and other outreach channels.
  • Coordinate meetings and presentations with Account Managers, Xenium Capital Specialists, and Scientific & Technology Advisors.
  • Track, report on, and support cross-functional initiatives that drive revenue growth.
  • Build working relationships and manage clear handoff processes with Marketing, Product Management, and other internal teams.
  • Support territory-specific sales planning and help improve sales cycle time across the Commercial organization.
  • Update the CRM system to maintain accurate opportunities and pipeline data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 0-1+ years of experience in inside sales or business development, preferably in academic, life sciences, or biotechnology industries.
  • Ability to identify ideal customer profiles and use research techniques to generate qualified leads.
  • Ability to uncover customer needs and pain points and explain how products and services address them.
  • Experience following established sales methodologies through the full sales cycle from initial contact to qualification and opportunity creation.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools for lead management, activity tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience coordinating with internal teams to address customer questions in outbound or inbound sales generation.
  • Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM databases.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are highly desirable.
  • Preferred: NGS sales experience.
  • Preferred: Experience using SFDC.
  • Preferred: Proven success selling a technical product line.

  • Base salary range of $67,900 to $91,900 USD.
  • Eligible for equity grants.
