Description

  • Build and enhance bank-migration tooling and the extensibility framework for the core banking platform.
  • Design and implement scalable services for distributed banking systems.
  • Work on foundational backend services that support banking operations globally.
  • Collaborate across teams and domains to deliver solutions that span multiple parts of the platform.
  • Contribute to deep design and implementation work on complex distributed systems.
  • Support system availability, operational excellence, and delivery of high-quality software.
  • Mentor junior developers and help raise engineering standards across the team.
  • Assess technical trade-offs and help deliver optimal solutions for client requirements.
  • Participate in Agile delivery within a Scrum team.

Requirements

  • Solid Java software development experience, ideally with Java 21+ and Spring Boot 3.x.x.
  • Strong experience with Test-Driven Development and writing unit, integration, and functional tests for web services.
  • Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
  • Prior experience with SQL databases, with strong knowledge of PostgreSQL.
  • Interest in CI/CD, with experience using Gradle or Maven.
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
  • Experience building and deploying production microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Proven experience developing JVM-based microservices running in Kubernetes through the full development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience building cloud-based solutions on AWS.
  • Knowledge of event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
  • Experience helping lead development lifecycle processes and best practices for distributed cloud-based microservices.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and a desire to write production-quality code.
  • Experience delivering software in an Agile manner as part of a Scrum team.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and mentor, teach, and empower others.
  • Must reside in Hungary for the duration of employment.
  • Kotlin, Spring reactive, Quarkus, Terraform, Redis, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Checkmarx experience are part of the wider tech stack and may be beneficial.
