Description

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, budget, and vendor landscape for internal IT across support, business applications, integrations, automation, and AI tooling.
  • Lead, grow, and develop the IT Support and IT Tooling & Automation teams, serving as the escalation point and technical standard-setter.
  • Run IT as a product for employees by measuring service experience, publishing deliverables, and prioritizing work by business impact.
  • Administer, integrate, and rationalize business-critical SaaS systems across CRM, finance, HR, support, collaboration, and engineering tools.
  • Design reliable API-driven workflows and data synchronization across platforms.
  • Champion a code-first automation culture using scripts, internal services, event-driven pipelines, CLI tools, and ChatOps.
  • Build and evolve the internal IT Golden Path for onboarding, offboarding, identity and access provisioning, and self-service IT requests.
  • Own the internal AI tool portfolio, including evaluation, procurement, seat administration, usage governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Ship AI into internal workflows such as support assistants, knowledge retrieval, ticket triage, and agentic process automation.
  • Deliver person-first IT support, manage identity and device infrastructure, and partner on compliance and security readiness.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in IT engineering, business systems engineering, or internal platform engineering at SaaS/tech companies.
  • 3+ years leading a team that owned internal business systems and automation.
  • Hands-on engineering background with the ability to read, review, and write automation code in Python or a comparable language.
  • Fluency with APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows, and integration frameworks.
  • Proven ownership of a modern SaaS business application landscape at company scale.
  • Demonstrated delivery of AI tooling into an organization, including assistants, knowledge retrieval, or workflow automation.
  • Deep identity and security experience with SSO/SAML/SCIM, identity lifecycle automation, MDM, and Zero Trust access models.
  • Experience supporting or passing security and compliance audits such as ISO 27001, SOC2, or GDPR.
  • Vendor and budget management experience across a substantial SaaS portfolio.
  • Experience supporting a remote-first, globally distributed workforce with a person-first service philosophy.
  • Excellent English communication skills across technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
  • Experience with agentic platforms and protocols such as MCP, or with Claude, Gemini Enterprise, OpenAI, or Copilot ecosystems (nice to have).
  • FinOps-style governance of AI and cloud spend, including usage analytics and per-seat economics (nice to have).
  • An SRE mindset applied to internal IT, including SLIs/SLOs for employee experience (nice to have).
  • Experience consolidating tool landscapes after growth or M&A (nice to have).
