Description

  • Establish and oversee the Deal Desk function for translating district service agreements into billing briefs and configuring new and renewed accounts before first invoicing.
  • Maintain alignment between contracted pricing terms and portal configuration across active accounts and validate billing accuracy at each renewal cycle.
  • Own the monthly billing data cycle and enforce deadlines for field operations submissions.
  • Review and approve invoices prior to issuance, including handling escalations for high-value invoices requiring VP sign-off.
  • Lead end-to-end billing dispute resolution, including root cause analysis and process corrections to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage Revenue Operations integration protocols with Revenue Accounting, including invoice logs, credit memo memos, and monthly billing summaries.
  • Coordinate escalation pathways for product configuration issues and non-payment matters with Product and Legal partners.
  • Lead, develop, and retain a team of Billing Admins and AR staff.
  • Deliver weekly Revenue Operations performance reporting to the executive team on invoice accuracy, DSO, dispute cycle time, and collections rate.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Operations, Billing Operations, or a cross-functional operational role in tech-enabled services, transportation, logistics, or field services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract-to-billing translation, including reviewing service agreements and identifying billing implications.
  • Working knowledge of revenue accounting principles, including revenue recognition, credit memo treatment, deferred revenue, and ASC 606 compliance for a services business.
  • Proven ability to manage the operational boundary between Revenue Operations and Revenue Accounting and ensure clean handoffs.
  • Track record of driving operational accountability across cross-functional teams while maintaining productive working relationships.
  • Experience leading end-to-end billing dispute resolution with a focus on upstream process improvement.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite or a comparable enterprise ERP, including invoice creation and user access management.
  • 5+ years of people management experience with the ability to set expectations, give constructive feedback, and develop operational team members.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to the field office.
  • Experience in K–12 student transportation, school district contracting, or government/municipal billing environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with per-route, per-minute, or service-day-based invoice structures where accuracy depends on upstream operational data (preferred).
  • Revenue accounting or finance operations experience, including month-end close in a services business (preferred).
  • Program management background with structured cross-functional delivery and stakeholder alignment (preferred).
  • Experience building a billing or revenue operations function from the ground up (preferred).
  • Experience in both established, process-mature organizations and high-growth or early-stage environments (preferred).

Benefits

  • Targeted base salary range of $139,000 to $178,000 in US Seattle.
