Description

  • Own data science projects end to end within an assigned business area, from scoping ambiguous problems through deployment and monitoring.
  • Translate business questions from Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and related functions into well-defined data science problems with clear KPIs, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Assess the feasibility, impact, and tradeoffs of proposed initiatives to support prioritization with cross-functional partners.
  • Design and conduct statistical analyses and build predictive models to answer complex business questions.
  • Select and apply appropriate methods such as regression, time series, survival or attrition analysis, hypothesis testing, and graph and network analysis.
  • Optimize models for performance, interpretability, and generalization using techniques such as regularization, cross-validation, and ensemble methods.
  • Define model evaluation plans that assess accuracy, fairness, drift, and business impact.
  • Design and implement production-ready data and model pipelines for large-scale datasets using distributed processing platforms.
  • Write maintainable, well-documented, and tested code using standard data science libraries.
  • Participate in code and design reviews, contribute to shared tooling and documentation, and provide informal guidance to junior teammates.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a STEM or quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, mathematics, economics, or engineering.
  • 3+ years of professional experience building and deploying data science or machine learning solutions.
  • At least one production deployment experience.
  • Experience translating business questions into data science problems and communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience with cloud data and ML platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Working knowledge of applied statistical methods and machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, time series, cross-validation, and model evaluation.
  • Doctoral degree in a STEM or quantitative field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices such as model versioning, monitoring, drift detection, and CI/CD for ML is preferred.
  • Experience designing and maintaining dashboards for operational or executive audiences is preferred.
  • Experience presenting analyses to senior technical and non-technical audiences is preferred.
  • Exposure to Sales, Marketing, Finance, or HR analytics domains is preferred.
