Description

  • Own end-to-end Checkout Champ funnel architecture and strategy across multiple brands.
  • Design and configure custom subscription flows, rebill logic, upsells, downsells, order bumps, and post-purchase flows.
  • Configure payment gateways and troubleshoot complex checkout issues.
  • Own Shopify theme architecture, Liquid development, and storefront customization across all brands.
  • Lead API integration work between platforms from specification through deployment.
  • Resolve complex storefront display and functionality issues.
  • Oversee third-party app configuration and integration strategy.
  • Own pixel and tracking architecture across Meta, Google, and native platform events.
  • Diagnose tracking discrepancies and translate checkout changes into measurable conversion impact.
  • Mentor a junior developer by assigning tasks, reviewing work, and setting technical standards and documentation practices.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Checkout Champ, including ownership of multiple live, high-traffic funnels.
  • Advanced Shopify expertise, including Liquid, theme architecture, storefront customization, and the app ecosystem.
  • Strong JavaScript and front-end development skills, including HTML and CSS.
  • Proven experience designing subscription and rebill logic and configuring complex payment gateways.
  • Track record of API integration work from spec to deployment.
  • Deep understanding of conversion funnels and how technical decisions affect CRO and AOV metrics.
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior developers.
  • Excellent written communication skills in an async-first, remote team environment.
  • Portfolio is required, with Checkout Champ and Shopify project examples.
  • Preferred experience with post-purchase upsell apps.
  • Preferred deep familiarity with subscription platforms.
  • Preferred experience working alongside media buying teams.
  • Preferred formal CRO methodology experience.
  • Preferred experience hiring or onboarding technical talent.
