Description

  • Provide clinical case consultation to Infant Toddler Court Program sites and Safe Babies teams.
  • Build and maintain responsive relationships with clinical providers and implementation partners.
  • Support states and sites in implementing culturally relevant, evidence-based services, curricula, and interventions aligned with IECMH and SUD principles.
  • Collaborate with the Safe Babies and Technical Assistance teams to plan and deliver technical assistance and professional development resources.
  • Coordinate and facilitate learning activities, communities of practice, webinars, meetings, and conference calls on IECMH, dyadic approaches, SUD, and reflective practice.
  • Provide ongoing reflective consultation and lead reflective practice activities for staff, coordinators, parent leaders, and partners.
  • Track state policies, practices, financing, and systems-building efforts related to infant-toddler mental health, substance use, and child welfare.
  • Develop policy briefs, articles, publications, and technical assistance tools for state and local audiences.
  • Use program data and the National Safe Babies database to evaluate and continuously improve training, technical assistance, and implementation.
  • Represent Safe Babies in ZERO TO THREE’s IECMH workgroup and contribute to broader organizational initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of documented professional experience supporting young children and families and systems-level collaboration.
  • Proficiency in infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) and substance use disorder (SUD) evidence-based interventions, assessments, and screenings.
  • Professional training and clinical experience supporting the relational health of children ages 0-5 and their families.
  • Knowledge of trauma, including historical and intergenerational trauma, in IECMH contexts.
  • Supervisory experience, including reflective supervision/consultation.
  • Experience developing, facilitating, and applying reflective practice methods in child welfare and dependency court systems.
  • Knowledge of child welfare systems, state and federal abuse/neglect policies, infant/toddler social-emotional development, and the impact of abuse and neglect.
  • Familiarity with dependency court statutory processes and the therapeutic relationship in that context.
  • Experience providing professional development or mentoring to mental health providers.
  • Strong training and group facilitation, interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills; ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse backgrounds and adapt to changing community environments.
  • Proficiency with virtual platforms including Zoom and Teams.
  • Ability to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends.
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or another related clinical field.
  • Preferred: Licensure as a mental health clinician and/or endorsement as an infant and early childhood mental health provider or mentor.
