Description

  • Architect the end-to-end integration and data strategy for Salesforce and connected production distributed systems.
  • Define data ownership, entity shapes, and single sources of truth across platforms using ERDs.
  • Partner with core engineering teams to align system boundaries and architectural standards.
  • Design high-scale integration patterns with retries, idempotency, reconciliation, and deep observability.
  • Replace brittle no-code integrations with robust, code-based solutions.
  • Develop sophisticated Salesforce integrations using code rather than standard administrative configuration.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD practices for integrations, emphasizing configuration-as-code over manual production changes.
  • Partner closely with IT, Product, and business stakeholders to support change management and business alignment.
  • Serve as a technical authority on modern integration technologies and enterprise-grade engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Hands-on Salesforce platform experience in a complex custom-object environment.
  • Production TypeScript experience.
  • Relational database experience, ideally with Postgres.
  • Experience building integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
  • Practical distributed-systems experience including idempotency, retries, dead-lettering, backfills, reconciliation, and eventual consistency.
  • Practical experience with REST, SOAP, and webhooks.
  • Strong relational data modeling and ERD design skills.
  • Experience building observability for integrations, including metrics, alerts, dashboards, and runbooks.
  • Experience with Salesforce metadata in source control and CI/CD, including scratch orgs, sandboxes, and deployment automation.
  • Ability to operate credibly at a staff or lead level within a software engineering organization.
  • Experience with Salesforce as an operational or domain platform, not only as a sales CRM, preferred.
  • Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as Zendesk, SAP, or Stripe, preferred.
  • Experience in insurance, brokerage, fintech, or other regulated or workflow-heavy industries, preferred.
  • NestJS experience, preferred.
  • Experience replacing no-code or Zapier flows with engineered integrations, preferred.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture, message queues, or webhook infrastructure, preferred.
