Description

  • Own internal tools end to end, from problem discovery and design through implementation, deployment, and iteration.
  • Build services, web applications, integrations, and infrastructure across Python, Go, TypeScript/React, Pub/Sub, and GCP as needed.
  • Integrate third-party SaaS platforms and cloud APIs using REST, webhooks, OAuth, and event-driven patterns while handling failures, retries, and schema drift.
  • Build and maintain workflow automation and business process orchestration as observable, named flows.
  • Use AI tools throughout the development lifecycle for specification, coding, and review while owning the final output.
  • Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and type safety before release.
  • Operate shipped systems in production, including monitoring, reliability, cost, and failure-mode management.
  • Contribute to shared engineering standards, playbooks, and internal tooling.

Requirements

  • Typically 3-9 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience shipping and operating production software with real users from brief to deployment.
  • Proficiency in Python or Go, with the ability to own a service from design to Cloud Run deployment.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and React for building complete internal dashboards or admin tools.
  • Experience deploying and operating on GCP, including IAM, secrets management, Cloud Run, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience integrating multiple third-party platforms in production using REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows, and event-driven patterns.
  • Strong security hygiene, including no hardcoded credentials, use of secrets management such as SOPS or Secret Manager, and no PII in logs.
  • Active use of AI tooling such as Claude Code or equivalent across the full SDLC, with critical review of AI-generated output.
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n or Zapier (preferred).
  • Experience with business process orchestration tools such as Camunda or Temporal (preferred).
  • Systems-level programming experience, including async runtimes, IPC, process lifecycle, or protocol clients (preferred).
  • Experience with graph algorithms or graph databases such as Neo4j and Cypher (preferred).
  • Experience with Rust or Tauri for desktop application development (preferred).
  • Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform (preferred).
  • Experience integrating LLM APIs, including prompt design and tool use (preferred).
  • Awareness of AI safety, compliance, data boundaries, output risk, or regulatory considerations (preferred).
