Description

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple business lines.
  • Manage complex revenue recognition and accrual accounting for segments such as 340B contract pharmacy and home infusion.
  • Lead purchase accounting support for mergers and acquisitions and help ensure successful accounting integrations.
  • Maintain audit readiness and provide support for audits and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures, close checklists, and documentation to improve accounting controls and efficiency.
  • Drive process improvements to strengthen accuracy, rigor, and speed in the close process within a fragmented systems environment.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day guidance to a small accounting team including staff accountant and AP.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership and operational teams to support strategic initiatives and deliver financial insights.
  • Help scale finance and accounting functions to support rapid business growth.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with complex accrual accounting and month-end close.
  • Experience managing reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting for multiple business lines.
  • Experience with purchase accounting and M&A-related accounting work.
  • Knowledge of healthcare-specific accounting standards or experience in healthcare accounting (preferred).
  • Strong ability to improve processes, documentation, and close rigor in a hands-on environment.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and drive process optimization.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, PE-backed growth environment with workload spikes and rapid scaling demands.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small accounting team (preferred).
