Description

  • Explore new machine learning opportunities and assess them through research and proof-of-concept work.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models to improve cost, price, and sourcing predictions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve Xometry’s platform.
  • Lead the development of new AI and machine learning features while maintaining platform reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and define technical solutions.
  • Monitor machine learning models and AI performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to documentation and the knowledge base so other teams can use Xometry’s AI effectively.
  • Bring new machine learning and AI solutions into Xometry’s platform.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience on engineering teams building large-scale ML-driven user-facing products.
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-team engineering efforts.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art ML techniques such as transformers, self-supervised pre-training, generative modeling, and LLMs.
  • Hands-on experience training and applying models at scale using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience with containers, container orchestration, and distributed systems in a cloud-native environment.
  • Strong software fundamentals, including design patterns, refactoring, object-oriented programming, and testing.
  • Experience building systems with Infrastructure as Code and a shift-left cloud approach.
  • Comfort working with SQL and/or NoSQL, database design, and data analysis.
  • Experience building and consuming CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfort using the command line and working with *nix systems.
  • Strong execution skills in project management.
  • Ability to bridge state-of-the-art approaches to real-world impact.
