Description

  • Serve as the embedded technical advisor for assigned strategic customer accounts.
  • Identify and qualify new production opportunities by analyzing customer parts, spending, and sourcing challenges.
  • Lead customer discovery, develop technical business cases, and support opportunities through award.
  • Translate customer requirements into executable technical packages and qualify manufacturing partners.
  • Conduct partner-site assessments, support production readiness, and resolve ramp-up, quality, and delivery issues.
  • Own technical execution from program award through launch, production ramps, transfers, and new product introductions.
  • Track program performance against cost, quality, delivery, and growth objectives; escalate risks and coordinate mitigation.
  • Share field insights with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Partner Network teams, and develop repeatable program playbooks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a technical customer-facing role.
  • Expertise across multiple processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, casting, or additive manufacturing.
  • Ability to identify DFM issues from CAD models and drawings; working CAD proficiency, with SolidWorks preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, inspection, and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers or contract manufacturers on production execution and expanding existing customer accounts.
  • Strong communication, consultative, organizational, and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Remote within driving distance of assigned customer sites, with approximately 50% travel to customer and partner facilities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Preferred: aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, or medical device experience; field applications, solutions engineering, supplier development, or program engineering experience; ERP, quoting, and supply-chain analytics familiarity.
