Description

  • Serve as the senior client interface for major capital programs, including scope definition, execution strategy, proposals, and relationship management.
  • Lead multidisciplinary capital projects from concept through startup, managing safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual compliance.
  • Provide executive oversight for internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors while mentoring project managers and engineers.
  • Oversee project controls, including scope, risk, document control, scheduling, cost management, and project management software.
  • Direct procurement and contracting strategies for equipment, materials, and services using T&M, lump sum, and GMP methods.
  • Partner with construction management, OEMs, and contractors on installation, commissioning, technical checkout, and startup.
  • Lead organizational change, facilitate alignment, and drive effective transitions across project phases.
  • Champion project and site safety standards and support continuous improvement in project delivery.
  • Support business development by strengthening client relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing to strategic pursuits.
  • Travel approximately 25–35% as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Industry experience in consumer products manufacturing.
  • 15+ years of capital project experience, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects exceeding $10 million or comparable scale and scope.
  • Experience leading client engagements and influencing senior-level stakeholders.
  • Program management experience overseeing multiple related projects within broader capital programs.
  • 20+ years of experience in Food and Beverage or Paper and Converting environments (preferred).
  • Experience mentoring project managers or project engineers; engineering consulting experience preferred.
  • PMP certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Business development experience and bilingual Spanish/English proficiency preferred.
