Description

  • Analyze incoming 3D CAD part designs for injection molding and other tooling technologies.
  • Review injection molding DFM reports and challenge manufacturers’ technical solutions when needed.
  • Communicate with external customers through video calls to explain DFM findings, gather feedback, and discuss technical solutions.
  • Optimize part CAD designs to improve manufacturability and resolve feasibility issues.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to resolve quality claims for injection molding, high pressure die casting, and related tooling technologies.
  • Attend pre-sales meetings with the Sales Team and external customers to support technical questions and project evaluation.
  • Collaborate with production partners, internal teams, and customers across Europe and Asia.
  • Support or manage complex and critical projects from a technical standpoint.

Requirements

  • Higher engineering education in thermoplastic processing, plastic part design, mechanical design, or a similar field.
  • Experience in an engineering role on a production floor with plastic processing, or in developing parts suitable for molding/casting.
  • Expert knowledge of thermoplastic processing and plastic part design rules for feasible injection molding.
  • Knowledge of injection molding tool design basics, common thermoplastic quality issues, and their root causes.
  • Understanding of Mold Flow analysis and its results.
  • Understanding of plastic post-processes such as pad-printing, silk-screening, spray painting, chroming, and hot foil stamping.
  • Knowledge of additional tooling technologies such as vacuum casting in silicone molds, compression molding, investment casting, sand casting, or metal injection molding is a plus.
  • Strong multicultural communication skills in English with the ability to convince, justify, and defend technical solutions.
  • Ability to work full-time remotely with working hours aligned to Central European Time.
  • Experience with automotive interior, IoT devices, or similar applications is relevant.
