Description

  • Design and implement scalable software solutions with Scala and Go in distributed environments.
  • Build event-driven and asynchronous architectures using Kafka.
  • Develop and support high-throughput production systems.
  • Work with AWS services including S3 and EKS across cloud, container, database, and storage environments.
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and testing.
  • Evaluate technical trade-offs against business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Scala and functional programming, with professional Go experience or the ability to work across Scala and Go codebases.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and high-throughput production environments.
  • Hands-on AWS experience, particularly with S3 and EKS.
  • Experience with Kafka and event-driven or asynchronous architectures.
  • Experience with the Lightbend ecosystem, particularly Akka.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, Jenkins, and New Relic.
  • Understanding of source control, CI/CD, and software testing approaches.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Practical experience using AI-powered assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
  • Experience applying GenAI workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations within the SDLC preferred.
  • Familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices and willingness to experiment preferred.
  • Must work from the European Union and hold the required work permit.
