Description

  • Build and ship backend features in Java/Spring and expand into full-stack work over time.
  • Use AI coding tools daily as part of the development workflow and continuously experiment to improve productivity.
  • Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
  • Contribute to task estimation and technical planning.
  • Work within an existing codebase, deciding when to reuse existing components and when to rebuild.
  • Help manage technical debt while delivering product work.
  • Take on increasing ownership of features as trust and scope grow.
  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teammates on product delivery.

Requirements

  • Solid backend engineering foundation with comfort in Java 21, Spring, REST APIs, and SQL.
  • Experience with TypeScript and React 19.
  • Genuine curiosity about and active use of AI coding tools.
  • Evidence of building and shipping real work, even at smaller scope.
  • Growth mindset and comfort navigating a non-trivial codebase with increasing ambiguity.
  • Good collaboration instincts and comfort working in a cross-functional team.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ is part of the stack environment.
  • Familiarity with unit and integration testing and the Java web stack.
  • Exposure to AI tooling such as Cursor, Claude/Codex, Zencoder, an internal AI portal, or MCP is relevant.
