Description

  • Own and maintain the company’s data ecosystem, including the health, cost, and observability of the stack.
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Design and manage data warehouses, lakes, and databases to support advanced analytics and AI workflows.
  • Create business-first data models that enable self-service in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Sigma.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes and governance.
  • Optimize SQL and Python workloads, including query tuning, pipeline performance, and proactive troubleshooting.
  • Implement data quality frameworks to ensure reliable data and smooth cross-system integrations.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and customers to translate business goals into technical requirements.
  • Support AI/ML initiatives by creating models that enhance analytics and machine learning projects.
  • Lead data engineering projects and integrate data from multiple sources, especially in small-team and agile environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including ownership of pipelines and infrastructure optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including CTE optimization.
  • Strong Python skills, including complex scripting and AI/ML-related work.
  • Experience architecting data pipelines and ETL processes with tools such as Fivetran, Snowflake, and dbt.
  • Experience building business-driven data visualization solutions using Power BI, Sigma, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to communicate analytical insights and actionable recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or analytics.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and big data technologies such as Snowflake (preferred).
  • Experience leading data engineering projects and integrating data from multiple sources (preferred).
  • Experience working in small teams and agile environments (preferred).
