Description

  • Lead and grow a team of analytics engineers, setting priorities, raising standards, and building a culture of craft, documentation, and user empathy.
  • Drive the rollout and adoption of Lightdash as the single source of truth for business reporting.
  • Own dashboard development across executive and operational reporting, then transition ownership to analysts as self-service matures.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into maintainable, production-quality data products.
  • Design and deliver training and enablement programs that help business users across functions use self-service analytics.
  • Own and evolve core dbt models and the semantic layer to support use cases such as LTV, acquisition, retention, funnel performance, and financial reporting.
  • Establish governance standards for metric definitions, dashboard design patterns, modeling practices, testing, and documentation.
  • Partner with analysts and Data Engineering on scalable data assets, pipeline reliability, data quality, and infrastructure decisions.
  • Balance rigor with delivery speed while building foundational analytics capabilities in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or technical analytics roles.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, ideally building or scaling a team.
  • Deep proficiency in dbt, with experience building and scaling dbt projects.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one programming language, preferably Python.
  • Experience implementing or heavily using a semantic layer or metrics layer such as Lightdash, Looker, or MetricFlow.
  • Track record of driving self-service analytics adoption through training, documentation, and stakeholder enablement.
  • Familiarity with dimensional modeling, data warehouse design patterns, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience working closely with analysts and translating their needs into scalable data models.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to prioritize ruthlessly and build scalable data products.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, greenfield data environments and contributing to team culture and data quality.
  • Experience in marketplace, B2C, or subscription/usage-based businesses is preferred.
  • Experience in low-maturity or greenfield data environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Airalo’s stack, including dbt, BigQuery, Lightdash, and Fivetran, is preferred.
  • Experience with marketing analytics use cases such as attribution, LTV, and cohort analysis is preferred.
  • Previous experience at a scale-up that went through hypergrowth is preferred.
